Elisabetta Iossa
Acting President – Italian Antitrust Authority
Commissioner at the Italian Antitrust Authority since 1 February 2022 and Full Professor of Economics at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" (currently on leave).
She has held academic positions at Brunel University London, Université Libre de Bruxelles, and Université de Liège, and has been a visiting scholar at several institutions, including Harvard University and the Toulouse School of Economics. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Naples "Federico II", an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of York, and was awarded a post-doctoral European T.M.R. Marie Curie Fellowship at the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
She has advised a number of international institutions, including the European Commission, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Inter-American Development Bank, the UK Competition Commission, the Office of Fair Trading, the World Bank, and the United Nations IFAD.
