Giuseppe Galasso

Head of Legal Affairs Department – Italian Antitrust Authority

Giuseppe Galasso is currently Head of the Legal Affairs Department at the Italian Competition and Market Authority.

Within the Authority, he was Head of Competition Department 1 until 2023, and, from 2006, Head of the Industry and Services Directorates, the Credit Directorate and subsequently the Communications Directorate.

Before joining the Authority, he practised law, specialising in commercial law.

He has lectured on specialist master's courses at various universities and is the author of essays on competition law and regulation in the credit, insurance and communications sectors.

He graduated in Law from the University of Rome La Sapienza.

He was admitted to the Rome Bar.
