Monique Van Oers

Legal Director – Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets

Monique van Oers is Director Legal Department of the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets, the ACM. Monique joined the Netherlands Competition Authority (NMa) in 2000; since 2005, she has been Director of the Legal Department of the NMa and of the ACM (after the NMa merged into the ACM). Prior to joining the NMa, she worked as a lawyer specialized in competition law at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, a large Dutch law firm for seven years, both in Brussels and in the Netherlands.  She also worked for World Bank projects and was legal advisor to the competition authority of Panama. Monique started her career as a trainee at the Legal Service of the European Commission.
