Elisabetta Iossa
Commissioner - Italian Antitrust Authority
Elisabetta Iossa has been serving as Commissioner at the Italian Antitrust Authority since February 1st, 2022.
She holds the position of Full Professor of Economics at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" (currently on leave). Previously, she worked at Brunel University in West London, progressing from Lecturer to Senior Lecturer and then Full Professor. Additionally, she served as a Maitre de Conférence at the Université de Liège and as a Suppléant at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, where she obtained a T.M.R post-doc European fellowship. She has also been a visiting scholar at Bristol University, the Catholic University of Milan, Harvard University, and Toulouse School of Economics.
Her research focuses on industrial economics, particularly in the areas of competition policy and public procurement. She has provided assistance to various international institutions on these topics, including the European Commission, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Competition Commission, the Financial Service Authority, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, the Office of Fair Trading, IFAD-United Nations, the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank.
