Fausto Caronna is a Counsel resident in the Rome office.

His practice focuses on European Community law and European and Italian antitrust laws.

His practice focuses on European Community law and European and Italian antitrust laws. Fausto assists clients on abuse of dominance proceedings, restrictive practices and cartels, merger control, unfair commercial practices, misleading advertising, business-to-consumer agreements, and consumer protection law, with a focus on banking and insurance sectors and electronic communication industry. He appears frequently before the Italian civil and administrative courts, as well as before the Italian Antitrust Authority.

Mr. Caronna is distinguished as a leading Competition/European Law expert by Chambers Europe.
In 2022 he won "Attorney of the Year - Italian Administrative Litigation" award at the TopLegal
Industry Awards.

He authored several publications on these matters and regularly lectures at conferences, universities, research centers and associations (including the Italian Banks Association - ABI).

He is a member of the Milan panel of the Banking and Financial Ombudsman (ABF).

Mr. Caronna joined the firm in January 2002, became a senior attorney in 2011, and became
counsel in 2023.

He graduated with honors from the Law School of Palermo University in 1996, where lectured in political philosophy in 1997 and 1998. He received an LL.M degree in International Business Law from University College in London in 1999 and received a Ph.D. degree from the Rome University "La Sapienza" in 2002.

Mr. Caronna has been a member of the Rome Bar since 2002. He is a native Italian speaker and is
fluent in English and proficient in French.
