Irène Luc

Vice-President - French Competition Authority

Irène Luc has been Vice-President of the Autorité de la concurrence since April 2019. Prior to that, she served as President of Chamber 5-4 at the Paris Court of Appeal (which deals with competition and distribution-related matters) from 2016 to 2019 and was Head of the Legal Department at the former Conseil de la concurrence from 2008 to 2011 (after having successively been case handler, European affairs officer and Deputy General Rapporteur from 1996). She sat on the Board of the French Commission for Access to Administrative Documents from 2009 to 2019, served as Film Expert to the French National Film Centre from 2009-2015 and has taught Law at the University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin since 2016. Irène has written numerous articles, contributes to books on competition law, takes part in many conferences and is a regular lecturer at the French National School for the Judiciary.
